E1 TEAM MIAMI MAKES PERFORMANCE GAINS AND CHARGES FORWARD TO SECOND ROUND OF E1 SERIES IN VENICE WITH MARC ANTHONY
Pilots Erik Stark and Anna Glennon leave performance testing in Milan prepared for second round of the E1 World Championship series
Miami, FL. (April 24, 2024) – After spending a week of performance testing at Lake Maggiore in Italy, Team Miami is ready to come out swinging at the second round of the E1 World Championship series May 11-12 in Venice, Italy. Last week, pilots Erik Stark and Anna Glennon spent an ample amount of time in the Team Miami RaceBird testing a variety of performance modifications and driving techniques to help improve their strategy coming into the next round.
The team took to the waters of Lake Maggiore for a week of dedicated performance testing alongside the engineers from legendary powerboat racing icons Victory Team. Stark and Glennon each spent time in the electric RaceBird testing a variety of set ups, settings and strategies in pursuit of an edge for the next round.
The Jeddah GP in February kickstarted the E1 World Championship, and Team Miami was thrust into the spotlight as Glennon secured the fastest team lap, Stark had the fastest lap of the event, and both drivers walked away with the most overtakes of the event. Despite narrowly missing the top of the podium due to a strategic error, Team Miami is off to a great start for what will shape up to be a long championship stint.
The team is looking forward to tackling Venice alongside “The Boss”, team owner and Grammy award winner Marc Anthony, who has made plans to support the team as they compete for valuable points in the second round.
“We started this championship off with a bang.” said Anthony. “The target on our back is already getting heavy, but Anna [Glennon] and Erik [Stark] are no strangers to being competitive and the pressure that comes with it. This championship will be a long one, and I know our team has the grit to be a serious title contender.”
Sparks continue to fly for Team Miami ahead of the second round, as they hinted at unveiling their newest team partner, and Anthony announced he will be performing a live concert at the third round in Spain.
